My Visit to Tampines CC | Branches, Facilities & Classes
While I was getting to know Tampines, I decided to check out a few of the Community Clubs (CCs) scattered around the estate. I didn’t go in expecting much a community club sounded like the kind of place you’d only visit if you already lived nearby. But Tampines is big enough that it has several of these clubs, each serving a different pocket of the neighbourhood, and I got curious about what they actually looked like on the ground and whether they’d be useful to know about if you’re spending time in a particular part of town.
This isn’t a comprehensive directory of every programme or class on offer I didn’t sign up for anything, and I’m not going to pretend I know the full class schedule at each branch. What I can share is what I actually saw when I turned up at each location: where they are, what’s around them, and a few small things that stuck with me from each visit.
Tampines Central Community Club
I ended up visiting two different locations that both go by the name Tampines Central Community Club, which was a little confusing at first until I realised they’re separate branches serving different corners of the central area.
1 Tampines Walk, #04-04
The first one I checked out was at 1 Tampines Walk, #04-04. Its location right in the heart of Tampines Central makes it a convenient reference point if you’re staying or spending most of your time around that part of town it’s the kind of place you’d walk past without noticing unless you were specifically looking for it.
When I actually went to check it out, it was closed. The listing I looked at showed opening from 10:00 AM on Wednesday, so if you’re planning to stop by, I’d suggest checking the current hours before making a special trip, especially if you need a specific service and not just a general look around.

866A Tampines Street 83
The second Tampines Central Community Club I visited is at 866A Tampines Street 83, and it had a noticeably different feel more of a neighbourhood spot than a central landmark. What I noticed here was that the building sits close to everyday conveniences, including an NTUC and a food court, which makes it feel more woven into daily life for residents nearby rather than being a standalone destination. If you’re stocking up on groceries in the area, it’s worth knowing that the NTUC outlet is right there.
This listing showed the centre closing at around 10:00 PM when I checked, though as with the other branch, I’d treat that as a starting point rather than a guarantee hours seem to shift, so it’s worth confirming before you go.

Tampines West Community Club
Next up was Tampines West Community Club at 5 Tampines Avenue 3, #01-05, while I was exploring the western side of the estate. What I liked about this one was learning that the space gets used for more than just the usual administrative or community services I found out it has occasionally hosted screenings of shows or movies at the basketball court, which gave the whole place a much more neighbourhood, lived-in feel than I expected from a community club. It made me think of it less as an office you visit for paperwork and more as a spot where residents actually gather.
Like the Central branch, it was closed when I checked, with the listing showing an opening time of 10:00 AM on Wednesday.

Tampines North Community Club
I made my way up to Tampines North Community Club at 2 Tampines Street 41 while covering the northern part of the estate. One thing that stood out to me here was how much is packed around the club itself there’s a fitness centre and a Burger King nearby, so even if the club itself is closed when you swing by, there’s still a reason to stop in the area.
It was closed when I checked, with the listing showing an opening time of 10:00 AM on Wednesday the same pattern I’d already noticed at the Central and West branches.

Tampines East Community Club
The last stop on my little community club tour was Tampines East Community Club at 10 Tampines Street 23. This one turned out to be my favourite visit of the four, not because of the building itself, but because of a small interaction I had while I was there a staff member I spoke to was genuinely helpful and friendly, and it made the whole visit feel a lot more welcoming than I expected. It’s a small thing, but it’s the kind of detail that actually stays with you after a trip, more than any list of facilities would.

Branches I Haven’t Covered Yet
Tampines has other Community Club branches beyond the ones above Tampines Changkat CC being one of them that I haven’t had the chance to visit myself yet. I’d rather leave that section out for now than write about a place I haven’t actually been to, so I’ll come back and update this guide once I’ve made it there.
My Takeaway
Going into this, I honestly assumed all the Tampines Community Clubs would more or less run on the same schedule, and that visiting one would give me a fair idea of what to expect from the rest. That turned out to not really be true. Every branch I checked was closed at the time I visited, and while three of them listed the same 10:00 AM Wednesday opening, the second Tampines Central branch had a completely different listed closing time of 10:00 PM which tells me these branches don’t necessarily follow one uniform timetable, even within the same name.
What I found more interesting than the opening hours, though, was how differently each branch fits into its surroundings. The Central branch at 866A Tampines Street 83 felt tied into daily errands because of the NTUC and food court next door. Tampines West stood out for actually being used as a gathering space beyond its official function, thanks to the basketball court screenings. Tampines North had the fitness centre and Burger King nearby, so there was still something to do even with the club itself closed. And Tampines East gave me the best experience overall, simply because of one friendly conversation with a staff member.
